On Monday, we celebrated NAIDOC Week with a special prayer and activities. We had the opportunity to pray The Dreaming Prayer and the Prayer for Aboriginal People. St Joseph’s girls led us in a variety of traditional Indigenous games while we were introduced to the many and varied tools of the Aboriginal Culture. Every student had the opportunity to make their mark on our new Aboriginal Artwork. In our Library classes we also focused on the Dreaming story of “The Rainbow Serpent” and began the whole school chalk mural.
Congratulations to the children who led us in Prayer!
Wow! What a way to celebrate the traditional custodians of our land.
